zButterfly – gorgeous looking freeware for downloading movies

zButterfly is a new freeware program designed to let your grandma download movies for free. Really now, this is getting more than silly. Every time the poor old media industry knocks off one product, up pops another even more sophisticated and easy to use. This is like a war of attrition which only the mutant virus wins.

Anyhoo, the Java based program comes with a number of different interface options, ranging from the default granny friendly beginner mode, to a hard core .torrent UI for those who spend their days downloading everything that moves. What’s really astonishing is the fact that it’s so blatantly a tool for downloading copyrighted movies – don’t these guys have any *shame*?

Of course the devs claim they’re only a search engine and not condoning illegal downloads etc, but y’know….? So if you’re into this sort of thing, probably best you rush off and grab the program before the heavy hand of some legal department comes stomping all over it. Weird world…

What is zButterfly? zButterfly is both a network of content and an all-in-one bittorrent application that allows you to find, download, play and share high-quality content. Find: You can search for torrents directly from the zButterfly. Download: Download quickly and efficiently with intelligent bandwidth, queue and speed management.
