iFan concept aims to keep your phone recharged using wind power

The great thing about smartphones is that they can do so much to enhance our daily lives. Everything from finding directions to that new restaurant you want to try, to providing the entire web at your fingertips. Unfortunately such features come at a price, namely by way of a short battery life. The iPhone is especially notorious for having a rather poor battery life. That’s why one person decided to take matters into his own hand, and come up with a creative way to keep his iPhone charged.

The iFan is a rather bulky case for your iPhone (looks like a 3G or 3GS) with a fan attached to it. This little fan is the source of his newfound power. By blowing air through the fan, the iPhone is able to have its battery replenished. Such practical applications include attaching the case to your bike, or holding it while jogging to replenish your phone’s depleting power source. It is still in the concept phase, so who knows if we’ll see this one brought to market.
