Fossil Bluetooth Watch stays connected to your smartphone

Be honest, how many times a day do you pull out your phone to see if you’ve gotten a new email, text, etc? Sure, your phone likely alerts you with some sort of sound for each of these, but sometimes you don’t hear it. Other times you might intentionally silence it due to a meeting, or any number of other situations. So wouldn’t it be great if there were an easier (and more discreet) way of checking your phone? The people at Fossil are working on one.

Yes, Fossil, the company known for making watches. They are hard at work crafting a watch that talks to your phone via Bluetooth, and lets you know a variety of useful information. This includes incoming calls, texts, email and more. The watch is expected to fetch a price of around $200 when it launches later this year. Would you shell out that kind of money for a watch that’s connected to your smartphone?

  • Nice Christmas gadget if they launch it soon.

  • Sounds like a nice idea, though I wish them good luck getting it to work with the iPhone, I don't believe it sends such data via bluetooth, and love it or hate it, it's a rather popular phone.

Furthermore, I'd hate to think what the battery life would be like. That's solved by it being rechargeable, however who wants to charge their watch every night?
