The iTagg service could either be a genius business play, or a potentially naff mobile phone number harvester for spam. It is basically a sort of premium rate SMS response service, which offers information request/distribution via a short SMS code and keyword. I tend towards thinking it could be quite useful if not abused.

‘Acting like a mobile domain name, every person and every business can now have their own unique keyword (or iTAGG) on a five digit shortcode for just �9.99 per year and allowing just about anybody with a UK mobile to text them. Text messages sent to a particular shortcode/keyword combination then activate different response features depending on how the iTAGG owner has configured it…’
