Get a year of Amazon Prime for free (even if you’re not a student)

Amazon Prime is a nice service that gets you 2-day shipping on virtually everything for free. I say free, but there is the initial $80 fee that you have to pay to sign up. If you do a lot of shopping online, then it pays for itself with the convenience. Of course, if you can find a way to get a membership for free, then it really pays for itself. Yes, there is a way to do this.

Amazon is good to students, and gives them a year of Amazon Prime for free. I signed up just before Christmas, and had all of my holiday gifts shipped in for free, it was awesome. But what if you’re not a student? All you need is to somehow get your hands on a .edu address. Now if only there were a site that let you sign up for one for free. A site like Australia.edu for instance. Just head over there, create an email address, and then sign up for your free Amazon Prime subscription. It’s as easy as that.

I thought it would be a cinch … but it isn’t.
I still don’t have one … but I’ll keep my eyes open and try to remember to post it here if I catch a break.
