Yellow Pages finally makes opting-out an easy task

The past couple of months have been filled with nothing but ice and snow where I live. Just this past week we’ve been hit with a severe ice storm. The entire city was shut down for a couple of days. But you’ll never guess what somehow made its way onto my front step. That’s right, a Yellow Pages book. How on earth it got there in its plastic wrapping in that terrible weather is beyond me. Well now I can finally make sure that I never receive one of these useless books again. (Useless, because I have the internet.)

There is now a simple site that you can go to which will allow you to opt-out of receiving future books. This is an official website setup by Yellow Pages, in order to help cut down on the amount of wasted paper (and wasted money on their part). All you need to do is go in and register (yes, you do have to go through a registration process, but it seems painless enough) and tell them which, if any, of the books you would like to receive. After that, you should no longer find the giant yellow book resting on your doorstep.
