If you’re the kind of person that likes to do extreme outdoor activities, you probably like to document such things. However, you’re probably not going to want to bring your favorite point-and-shoot when you go rock climbing or white water rafting. Instead you need a camera that’s just as rugged as you are. The new Pentax Optio WG-1 might be what you’re looking for.
This camera was built to withstand drops of up to 5 feet, crushing forces of 22lbs, cold weather up to -10 degrees and 33 feet of water. It will shoot still images at 14-megapixels and 720p videos at 30fps. You can even have a GPS installed for an extra $50 so that you’ll know exactly where your images were shot. The camera will be launching in April for a price of $350.
