Home Inventory Manager – freeware lets you log your home contents easily and quickly

Home Inventory Manager makes no pretensions to glory, it’s just there to let you log your home contents quickly and easily. There’s no glitzy interface, just some tabs for different categories like jewelry, furniture, electronics etc and a fairly basic database structure to let you add objects to each room in your house.

And you know what, it’s OK for the job. You can add brand names, buy date and price, the store and things like item value and condition. Perfect for maintaining a record for insurance and even for logging those pesky guarantee periods (who can ever remember when the warranty runs out on something several months in?). You can even add a photo of the thing to help you remember what it looks like.

Definitely worth downloading if you’re a compulsive asset gatherer.

Home Inventory Manager is a program that can help you track, organize, and catalogue all the items in your home. The software is flexible to help catalogue items according to your needs…Keeping track of your home inventory can be an important step in organizing and protecting yourself. Knowing what your assets are, having record of them, and some detailed descriptions can help you in recovering them as well as getting compensated for them by your insurance in certain cases.
