Solar keychain provides a power boost in a pinch

Being green isn’t easy. If you want to use an alternative power source to charge your gadgets, it usually means carrying around something that is bulky and inconvenient. After all, harnessing the sun or wind isn’t the easiest of tasks. Well now if you want to keep a little extra juice around for emergencies, you can do so with a solar-powered keychain from Neon Green.

This Piggy Power Bank keychain is only a little larger than your average fob, so it won’t add a ton of extra bulk. It has a small solar panel, which can be used to collect sunlight over a long period of time. Since the battery is only good enough to boost your cellphone (or other mobile device) for a short time, you’ll only want to use it when you absolutely need to. This gives you plenty of time to collect the rays you need to get a full charge. We’re not sure on pricing or availability, so it’s hard to say if this little device would be worth buying.
