The first team out of the blocks on that crazy Grand Challenge race through the Californian desert by autonomous vehicles is Sandstorm from Carnegie Mellon. I wonder whether these robot cars will really ‘revolutionize land transportation….[or]….improve mankind’s quality of life.’
