Remote control.

The Harmony H768 is a bit of a clever remote control. It comes with its own web portal, has ‘activity control’ and an in-built help system which fixes problems with an audio/visual system by asking a few questions. No wonder Logitech has just bought the company. Methinks remote controls are going to become a new battleground in the war for the consumer’s heart and soul.

‘The Harmony Remote is the world’s only remote with Activity Control. Just scroll and click with the thumb wheel to choose an Activity such as “Watch Television” or “Watch a DVD” on the Harmony’s screen, and the Harmony Remote figures out how to set up the home theater without the need for ‘macros’.’

Remote control.

Hook your camcorder up to a $149.99 PowerPod Robot Tripod to let you tilt, pan and zoom it at will, and then download the free TrackerCam software which lets you view your cam from any mobile phone and voil – quite a neat security or fun application for all the family.

Check out the live demos for an idea of what I mean!
