but is it art? posted by

Quarter Screw is simple, and costs much more than a quarter

How many times have you found yourself in need of a Phillips screwdriver, only to find that there are none nearby? It’s happened to me more times than I can recall, especially since I spend a great deal of time working on the insides of a computer, which uses such screws. Well here’s one way that you can ensure that you always keep this simple tool on your person at all times.

The Quarter Screw is probably more of an art piece than tool. Granted, it will perform any screwing tasks adequately, few people are going to pay $150 for a simple screwdriver. Sure, it does look cool, and they even throw in a red leather string so that you can convert it into a necklace, but that’s still vastly overpriced. Now if you’re looking for a functional art piece that says something about money and labor, well, then perhaps you’ll find some way to justify the cost.
