Just recently I decided to start watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, as I discovered it was now on Netflix. As a kid, I would watch episodes of the show after school, but only caught them once in a while. I figured it was high time that I sat down and watched it start to finish. Well my timing is good, as there is now a Star Trek app for my iPad.

PADD (Personal Access Display Device) is an officially-licensed Star Trek app which rather faithfully recreates the LCARS style interface from The Next Generation. It is essentially a link to the official Star Trek database with a fancy new GUI. While we do try to focus on free apps here on Red Ferret, I thought that this one was just too geeky to pass up.
