Automatically unlock your PC with a Bluetooth phone

Don’t you hate sitting down at your computer and having to enter a password just to log on? You’d think in this world of modern technology that we live in, such a thing wouldn’t be necessary. A computer should be able to recognize that the owner is present, and give them access automatically. The good news is that you can do this, so long as you have a Bluetooth-enabled phone.

A piece of software called BTProximity can be configured to recognize your phone whenever it is close. Then you need only tell it to enter specific credentials when this happens, and it will automatically unlock your computer. What’s more, is that it can be configured to lock your computer when you are no longer in range. Check out this guide for full details on how to set this up on your PC.
