Build your own Shotgun Camera Mount

Have you ever wanted to film your car ride from the inside of your vehicle? You can do this pretty easily by just purchasing a dash cam, but if you want high-quality footage, you won’t get it with one of those. If you’re determined to get the best video possible from inside your car, what you might consider is building a special tripod for your existing camera.

Over at DIY Photography they have an excellent guide on how to make a custom video camera mount for the passenger seat. This will give you great footage from the passenger’s point of view. What’s great is that it can be made for rather cheap. Essentially it will consist of a board, a small rubber sheet and a number of nuts and bolts. In just a short time, you can be filming high-speed chases like a pro (so long as you have a good enough camera, that is).
