Magnetic Switch Cover

Remembering to turn of the lights and grabbing your keys on the way out the door can be a little difficult at times. I can’t even think of how many times I have locked myself out my home because I walked out key-less. Jake Frey must have had similar problems, but unlike me, he took action to help himself remember both to turn off the lights before leaving, and to make sure he had his keys.

The Magnetic Switch Cover is an ingenious way to essentially put two tasks into one. This is just a light switch cover that has a high powered magnet on the bottom of it so you can stash your keys there until they’re needed. The idea is to put this switch cover by the door so you can flip the lights off and nab your keys almost simultaneously. Running only about $25, it’s a whole cheaper than having to run to a locksmith.

  • Great idea… Now if they could pretty it up so that that big wad of keys wasn't out in the open for everyone to see… They could call it a drawer or something…
