When listing to music, it is only natural to want to sing along. However, this can be rather difficult if you don’t know all of the words. Sure, there are plenty of sites out there that let you search through lyrics, but they tend to be full of annoying ads and such. MiniLyrics is an add-on that works with a number of media players (iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, MediaMonkey and VLC, just to name a few) that displays the lyrics right along with your music. It can even highlight words karaoke style, for those that want to sing along. The software can be used freely for as long as you like, though it does pop up with a bar asking you to purchase the software. This can be ignored or closed if you don’t want to buy it, or you can shell out $10 a year to remove it permanently.
