Color Blind Clock will annoy one or two of your friends

Being colorblind is rather strange. When anyone finds out about it, their first reaction is generally to immediately point to an object and ask what color it is. How do I know? Because it happens to me a lot. I’m not bothered by it, though I do get amused when people ask for my opinion on a color, only to realize that I’m probably not the best one to answer. I’m also probably not the best person to ask for the time if the Color Blind Clock is my only reference.

This clock is designed using the same methods as a traditional colorblind test. There are a bunch of dots in a variety of shapes and sizes. Depending on what colors you can see, you may make out the numbers on the face, or you might see nothing at all. What I find interesting is that this clock actually doesn’t work on all colorblind people. I am red-green colorblind, and I can see the 3, 6, 9 and 12. However, a friend with a more severe case cannot see any, as intended. At $60, this is an expensive way to annoy that one severely colorblind friend.
