Philips Sonicare AirFloss blasts away your leftover food particles

There are always going to be new, high-powered toothbrushes out there that promise you clean, white teeth. The one neglected form of dental care is using floss. We have all been told a thousand times to remember to floss, but then we think we’re grown ups and we dont have to. Pulling out a huge piece of minted string and running it through my teeth is not exactly a glamorous idea. Which is why the new Philips Sonicare AirFloss looks amazing.

This is the first time I’ve heard of a high-powered way to floss, and it looks pretty fancy. By using only a teaspoon of water mixed with air, all the germs and leftovers bits of food hiding in your teeth will be blasted away. Other such systems require a large reservoir of water, (its predecessor used two gallons per cleaning) which is why a teaspoon sounds like a much better deal. This gadget will set you back $90, but with little droplets of water and air that can travel at 45 mph to clean your teeth, it almost seems like a fair price. Then again, you could just save yourself a lot of money and floss the old fashioned way
