Learn a new language with Pronunciator

When you watch Sci-Fi movies, it’s always interesting to note that almost everyone speaks English, even the aliens. It makes you wonder if there will come a point in time where we all do settle on a common language, and which one will be picked. But even if that does happen, it certainly won’t be in our lifetime, which is why it’s good to pick up a second (or even third) language. If you’ve been thinking along the same lines, but are unsure where to start, you might check out Pronunciator.

While it’s not quite the same as taking a foreign language class, this site can help you to learn one of 60 new languages. Just pick your native language, and the one you want to learn. You’ll start with Core Vocabulary, which consists of repeating words out loud. The cool thing is that you can actually hook up a mic and have the site determine how well you are pronouncing each word. With over three million lessons on the site, you might just be able to pick up enough of a new language to get yourself by when visiting a new country.
