Circuit Sidekick is the ultimate app for electronic DIY-er

Have you ever started to work on an electronic DIY project, only to get a bit lost when it comes time to figure out what resistor or capacitor to use? There are plenty of resources online that can assist you with this, but wouldn’t it be handy if you had an app for your tablet that could tell you everything you want to know? What you need is Circuit Sidekick.

This iPad app was designed with the DIY-er in mind. It has a load of functions, such as the ability to look up resistor and capacitor values, based on their markings. You can also calculate capacitance or resistance of a group of capacitors or resistors. While we prefer to find free software, this $3 app looks to be worth every penny.

  • Unless there are a lot more screens to this app, you might find a better value in Electronics Engineering ToolKit Pro for iphone.

Same price, lots of calculators and reference pages.

Ironically, I bought the above for multiple parallel resistor calculations but it only supports 2 resistors and this seems to support more than 2 resistors in parallel which is what I needed.

  • you’re actually a just right webmaster. The site loading speed is incredible. It kind of feels that you’re doing any distinctive trick. In addition, The contents are masterpiece. you have performed a magnificent task on this subject!
