Bluetooth Internet Radio Car Kit turns your smartphone into a car radio

If you’re driving in a car by yourself, there’s a good chance that you’ll put on some music to pass the time. Without some form of entertainment, the drive can seem to drag on forever at times. So where do you get your music from? Depending on your area, you might not have a local station that you love, and you could grow tired of the music collection on your phone. So what do you do? You turn to the power of the internet to provide you with the audio that you’re looking for.

A company called Livio has a couple of interesting products that will help you pass the time in your car. The first is the Car Internet Radio App, which works on both iOS and Android devices. This free app gives you access to over 45,000 FM and internet radio stations, right in your car. The second is the Bluetooth Internet Radio Car Kit, which essentially gives you a physical set of controls for the app, and transmits the audio to your car’s radio via FM tuner. Just plug it into the cigarette adapter, and pair it to your phone via Bluetooth. You can even use the built-in USB port to charge your phone while it’s playing music. Now while this does seem like an interesting solution to your musical needs, I don’t see many people paying $120 for it.
