It seems that we’re always looking for ways to make our entertainment more immersive. The current trend is to produce movies in 3D, in order for the image to �pop� out at you. Well the BBC wants to take things a step further by putting Daleks in your home. Now, that might sound like something that would cause The Doctor to panic, but it’s not quite as bad as it sounds.

What the BBC is imagining is that you would purchase a special Dalek. Then, when you’re watching an episode of Doctor Who, this Dalek would spring to life when one appeared onscreen, mimicking its movements. The tiny toy would be controlled via WiFi by a box that would be hooked into your cable box. No matter how many times I try to rationalize it, I still hear the arguments of The Doctor warning me against getting one of these when they come out.
