Multi-Touch Keyboard and Mouse will have you typing and clicking on glass

When I would watch Star Trek as a kid (so maybe I still watch it now) there was something that always baffled me. It wasn’t the complex nature of the warp drive, or how Riker’s beard could be so awesome. Instead, I was blown away that everyone used touchscreen panels without looking at them. I know that you get used to hand placement after a while, but when you’re performing brain surgery, it might be helpful to know whether or not your hand is in the right place. This is exactly why I’m not too sure about this Multi-Touch Keyboard and Mouse.

The keyboard and mouse you see are indeed made from glass, and the lines you see on them are printed on the underside of it. This means that the tops are completely smooth. The effect is a really cool and futuristic look that begs to be touched. However, I can’t imagine it would be practical to use. The mouse might be the exception. However, those pledging to the Kickstarter fund have said otherwise, as they’ve already reached their goal with a month left to go. If you want a set for yourself, you can pledge $350 to get one of the first ones off the assembly line.
