Water Saver Gadget lets you keep an eye on your usage

Seeing the economy in such a bad state makes saving every penny that much more important. Even when you water your lawn, there are quite a few of those pennies flowing out of your hose. Knowing how much water you need for your plants is important, so having a gadget like the Water Saver around can be helpful.

This device attaches to the end of the hose, and will display in either liters or gallons how much water you are using. While this is rather helpful, it will take weeks or months to even realize how to manage your H2O usage, and even longer to get your return on this $25 investment. While that’s not a whole lot of money, the idea is to save as much of your income as possible. That being said, it would be better to just be cautious and watch the liveliness of your plants and judge how much water they need off of that. I doubt you’re going to need a gauge to tell you when you’ve watered your plants too much or too little.

  • Great idea. I remeber something from the Karate Kid Remake where Jackie Chan says everyone in China has a hot water usage meter, but keeping track of water from a hose is probably one of the best ways to cut down on waste.
