Geigerrig Hydration Packs eliminate the need for water bottles

When covering long distances on foot or bike, it’s important to stay hydrated. It’s easy to work up a sweat, which causes your body to lose a good bit of that moisture. You can carry water bottles to replenish the water you’ve lost, but what if you know you’ll be covering extremely long distances without access to fresh water? Then it’s time to bust out one of these Hydration Packs from Geigerrig.

These packs range in a variety of sizes, with the smallest giving you a 2 liter bladder, with a dry storage area that can hold up to 500 cubic inches of gear and additional water reservoirs. What’s really cool is that you don’t have to mess with water bottles at all, with this pack. It can actually be used to spray the water in your mouth from a tube. You’ll simply use the attached squeeze bulb to make the pressure needed to spray. With a special attachment, you can even filter the water as it moves through the tube. The packs start at $125 and go up.

  • Camelbak has been making these literally since 1988, why is this interesting?
