Spy Camera Glasses you can actually get away with wearing?

Spycameraglasses2

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve wished I had a camera handy to shoot a scene while out and about. Even a short walk around my urban neighborhood can reveal loads of opportunities, ranging from cute animals and funny advertising to strange people in odd poses – and either the moment passes too fast for me to get my phone camera out, or I’m too embarrassed to stand there and click away. Now if only there was a way to keep a camera running permanently which could capture my life as it passed in front of my nose. Oh wait…

These new Spy Camera Glasses, could point the way to the future, since they don’t look out of place on a ‘normal’ person at all. That marks a big change from the old chunky black models of a few years back which you could spot from a mile away (not hard since you ended up looking like a circus freak with those massive frames). This new model has the camera embedded in the sidebar of the frame, the connecting cable looks like a normal neck strap and you can even have the frames filled with proper prescription lenses to help you avoid hitting lamp-posts.

The device features a low light, high resolution camera, PAL or NTSC format, is suitable for ladies or gents and is compatible with standard type spy DVR recorders. They’re not cheap, but $295.00 says you could definitely have a lot of fun with these in the right circumstances.

  • Only compatible with their brand of DVR which will set you back another $400-$500.

    • Yes I thought that too, but the blurb on their site says – "These glasses will work with any DVR that has standard AV inputs. " So I guess it will work with other DVRs after all.

  • Specs from their site says max resolution @ NTSC: 720×525/ PAL: 720×625.
These days you can get HD 720p (1280×720 progressive scan) spyglasses.
China is making plenty of these that sell for half the price on ebay.
    This product sucks.

    • I think you're paying for the slim styling rather than raw resolution with these. The cheap versions make you look like a freak from Joe 90.
