If you count up the amount of time you spend cutting, copying and pasting information on your computer every day, you’d probably end up with a vast number of hours per year that would shock your hair white. I’m constantly copying web addresses, telephone numbers, search terms, form text, just a ton of stuff. In fact the other day I got so fed up with it, that I decided to try and make my life easier by finding a tool.
After a fair amount of hunting around I finally hit upon this great little freeware program called Clipboard Master. There’s a bunch of guys out there offering clipboard tools, but either they’re expensive or they’re too klunky to use every day. What I particularly like about this one is the fact that it sits in the background without hassling you until you need it, then it pops up and does the job with no fuss.
It also stores a heck of a lot of content, which you can retrieve in an instant by doing a fast search in the box at the top of the pop up. You summon the pop up in a number of ways, including right/left simultaneous mouse clicks. As if all this wasn’t enough, the program also features a full screen grab function, a password store and a macro driven form template letter function, where you can paste in whole responses to email messages with one click. Definitely a bookmark and a keeper!
