When you think of a board game, you’ll likely think of something along the lines of Monopoly, Sorry, or Life. A common theme that they all share is having many tiny pieces that can easily be lost, never to be found again. It’s no wonder that many board games have been made into video games, as it is cumbersome to not only keep track of all the pieces, but also lug the whole box out and set everything up.
It is a bit sad to no longer have anything tangible about the game around anymore though. The rush of tossing the dice onto the board, and letting chance decide your fate. The good people who created DICE+ know that we are all now glued to our glass-faced phones and tablets, and the prospect of tossing a plastic cube at something that is breakable is not such a swell idea. DICE+ will give you the perfect combination of real and virtual game play that everyone can be apart of. It uses Bluetooth connectivity that will work with desktop and various mobile operating systems. Pricing looks to be around $30-$40, but we won’t get definite numbers until E3 in Los Angeles, CA later this year.
