Google Account Activity lets you see exactly how much time you’re wasting

Googleaccountactivity

It you’ve got a Google account of any kind, YouTube, Google Mail or any of their other line of products, you may be interested to learn that you can now check how much time you’re spending on each of the applications you’re using. So if you suspect you’re spending too much time dawdling around on Gmail or doing too much searching on the Google search engine, this is the place to find out.

For some strange reason the new service, called simply Account Activity, does not cover off your use of things like Google+ (a massive time sink in my case), nor does it show your use of Google Docs, which I find strange. Even more so since they do include Latitude for some reason. Who uses Latitude? Anyway it could be that they’re planning to introduce more products as time passes, which is a typical Google tactic.

For myself, I learned that I receive about 1600 emails a month, send around 300 and do some 500 searches. More information on the new feature can be found on the official Google Blog.
