Crowd funding is big business nowadays, and there’s no question that the concept of launching new products on the back of a wave of community love and funding really rocks. For the first time, small businesses have a real chance to get some sales traction without putting themselves into hock with the bank.
One of the issues with crowd funding however is what to do when the launch succeeds and the company is left having to market their products out in the wild wild world. Which is where Tiny Lightbulbs comes in. The new online service is an online shopping mall which focuses only on crowd-funded products.
It offers a full shopping catalog, reviews and marketing assistance to help sell products that might not otherwise get enough publicity. Sure they can do this stuff themselves, but why not take advantage of a ready set up opportunity? The design is nice, it’s got a friendly vibe and the products are…well let’s just say quirky. Just the way we like ’em.
Very cool idea, would be good to see them grow a bit more and get more products but I'm sure that will come in good time.
