Lit Motors C-1 gives your scooter a ceiling

Riding a motorcycle or scooter can be quite dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. Even when you know what you’re doing, if someone isn’t paying attention, you could end up in an early grave. Your entire body is exposed, and if the bike falls on its side, you can guarantee that your legs are going to be crushed.

This is why Lit Motors is working on the C-1, which has been codenamed the rolling smart phone as it pairs up with your mobile device. It is essentially a scooter with a car exterior, which makes it quite unique. Although, the most amazing aspect of it is the fact that it is gyroscopically stabilized, meaning that you will remain upright, even in a wreck. It is an electric vehicle, and will take about 6 hours to charge. The speed caps out at about 120 mph, and you can go about 150 to 220 miles on a full charge. This isn’t available just yet, but will be in 2014 for anywhere from $12,000 to $16,000.
