Over the summer, it is common to have cook outs, campfires, and general outdoor gatherings. While you love having friends over, it always seems as though an unwanted guest shows up, and then won’t leave your home for days. Hopefully you’ve gathered that I’m talking about bugs.
Going in and out of your house for various cooking utensils, or bringing food in and out means that bugs are going to trail in behind you. Even if you have a screen door, it doesn’t always close behind you, allowing just enough room for an army of various insects to parade in. Should you be without a screen door entirely, then you may be met with a much worse fate. This is why an item like the Magic Mesh is so awesome. It’s a mesh hanging door that easily opens as you walk through, and shuts quickly with its 18 magnets that will pull it close. It only costs $15, and will keep the creepy crawlies from making a home in your home.
For what it is worth, I have this exact item. The middle does not separate easily unless the sides are attached to something.
The main thing provided for attachment is sticky backed velcro type fastener, which didn't work for us. We ended up using an expandable shower curtain rod and zip ties to hang it in our door way.
Now it just hangs like a solid one piece screen curtain and as such works ok, not great, but better than nothing for sure.
