When you buy a watch, you might be buying for a specific brand, or because it has some sort of awesome way of telling time that you haven’t seen anywhere else. Of course, you’re buying a watch more as a present for yourself or someone else anymore, what with the availability of phones that tell time every which way you look. What if you turned the tables and bought a watch that was helping someone else rather than just you?
The WeWood Moon Ladies Watch is made out of natural wood that has come from bits of flooring that would have otherwise been destroyed. The case, bracelet, and dial are all made of this re-purposed timber. It does cost about $120, but on top of saving some trees, you’ll also be planting a new one. For every watch that is sold, the company that makes them will plant one tree. This way, you can buy something for yourself, and feel better about it rather than just having another material possession.
