Hallmark Text Bands will only make your kids want a real phone

Some parents try to get their kids things that look trendy because they think it will get them brownie points. There’s nothing wrong with getting your kid a gift, but you may want to think through buying them something that may end up being cheesy. Otherwise you’re going to embarrass yourself, along with your kid, then neither of you will be too happy.

If you want a surefire way to disappoint your child, then get them a Text Band. It may sit on their wrist like a watch, but it can’t tell time, and can only trade 10 character messages with friends through a fist bump. We thought 140 characters on Twitter was a small amount, so you can imagine how restrictive ten would be. These are only $15, but you may as well save that money and put it towards a phone that will give them games and the ability to actually have conversations with their friends. It would also be good to note that something like this is only useful if the entirety of their friends also possess one of these.
