OwnFone is the most simple phone you will ever see

When we are surrounded by technology on a daily basis, it’s difficult for us to believe that there are still people out there who don’t even have a cell phone. Some people are staunchly against all these new-fangled inventions (like my aunt). On the other hand, there are those who want to be brought up to speed, but don’t know where to start.

Most cellphones nowadays are actually quite complex for people used to landlines, which is why the OwnFone is a great first step for those who want to branch out. It only has speed-dial to select people, volume controls, an answer, and end call button. There’s literally nothing else to it. You can choose to have 2, 4, 8, or 12 contacts on your OwnFone, and instead of being numbers, you can program in names. You can choose patterns and colors, and it will cost about $10 a month for 50 minutes, $13 for 100, or $19 for 500. This is great for grandparents, the technologically inept, or kids who want a phone, but aren’t ready for the real deal.
