but is it art? posted by

There is more to the Emu Ivy Pouf than meets the eye

Don’t judge a book by its cover. We’ve heard that quote over a thousand times, and sometimes we still do it. We’ll look at a gadget or gizmo and pass it over before really giving it a chance to do its thing. Maybe it would be really impressive, but you can’t tell that just from seeing its exterior.

The Emu Ivy Pouf is one of those items that you can’t help but think that it has nothing to it. It looks like a painted trashcan turned upside down in regular light. However, it’s actually a powder-coated, solar powered, LED light accessory. It can act as an ottoman, table, or just an outdoor light when it’s dark out. You can choose for it to be either orange, white, or turquoise, and it comes with a webbed nylon loop handle. The only problem with this awesome little outdoor lamp is that it costs $759, and that’s only for one of them. It’s a really awesome idea, but the price is a bit over the top.
