World Health Rankings is the scariest site you’ll visit today

worldhealthrankings2

Ever wondered how long you’ve got to go on this mortal plane? Ever thought about whether you were living in a country which was better or worse for your life expectancy profile? If so, you’re in good company, since most of us secretly would like to know what our long term odds are, y’know just so we can make plans.

The World Health Rankings site delivers more information than you could possibly ever want to know, about all sorts of stuff relating to life and death in your country and others. There’s a huge amount of stuff to go through, and a huge number of surprises.

For instance Denmark is the 4th highest country in the world for deaths through alcohol. ??? And life expectancy ranges are simply astonishing. If you live in Haiti, you’ll be lucky to reach 29.1 years of age, if you live in Singapore or Japan, you have a good chance of reaching 82 plus.

The Maldives and Mongolia top the cancer death countries (??) and India is the top country for deaths through falling. But no-one dies from falling in Bahrain though, so if that’s your fear, you know where to emigrate to. We could go on and on, but we’ll leave you with this. Guyana is top of the suicide charts from around the world. If I was in their government, I’d start wondering why.
