You know the old saying, right? Never work with animals or children, and that’s probably an understatement. It’s not that they’re willingly naughty or uncooperative, oh no. The dear things, and we mean kids now, not animals, are just easily distracted. Ooh look, there’s a blue car. Anyhoo, there’s now a tool which should make it easier for photographers to capture the shot they need in their never ending quest for perfection.

The Look Lock is a shoe-mounted swivel arm which is designed to clasp a smartphone and so help the photographer deliver some deliciously distracting content while taking their shots. It also has other uses as I’m sure you’ll quickly realize. For instance it could be a superb teleprompter mount, and when coupled with a smartphone app like Free Teleprompter, it could really rock the video making world.

However, we digress. We really enjoy the thought of all those children and unruly pets suddenly quietened by the sight of a phone playing some animation on a strange person’s camera, so we’re going to stick with that as a primary reason for buying.
