One of the most frustrating things about sitting down to do a spot of multimedia editing is trying to locate the different programs you need to do various tasks. Because it’s never a simple job is it? First you need to grab a file, then convert it, then burn or embed it and so on. And that means hunting around for all sorts of tools and wasting a bunch of time which could be better spent washing the dog. But now there’s a nice alternative.
Freemore Audio Video Suite brings together a heap of useful freeware tools to let you do most anything you need with those pesky files. Need to cut up MP3 audio, or join them up? Or convert or edit audio? Perhaps you need to download a YouTube clip and convert it to MP3? Or convert a JPG to PDF? Or rip a DVD to AVI? It’s all here, gathered together handily under one easy to use interface.
We love the idea of having everything under the one roof, so to speak, although it’s a tiny bit annoying that certain tools, such as the Free Photo Resizer is actually – despite the name – not available for the free version of the program. It’s inconsistent and unnecessary. Apart from that though, and thankfully it’s only a handful which won’t work, this is a great little freeware program for anyone who needs to do multimedia editing on a regular basis. Definitely a keeper.
