If you love taking photos of nature, you know what kind of changes come with your photos during seasonal shifts. If you like taking a large landscape shots, you might wonder what it would be like to see the change happen in action. If so, you’ll have to either set up the camera every day, or weatherproof it for a longer period of sitting in one spot. You can go all out and buy fancy camera equipment for it, or just make it yourself at home.

If you want to set up a Long Term Time-Lapse, then you’re going to need the equipment to do it! The materials you will need are a camera, lens, a giant media card, a timer remote controller, high capacity battery and case, dummy battery, voltage converter, pelican (waterproof) case, mounting plate, electrical connectors, PVC pipe, clear UV lens filter, epoxy, silicone moisture packets, velcro, and a 20 Amp fuse. You will need access to some regular tools as well as some power tools like a circular saw to make the snout for the lens. Obviously this is a time and funding dump if you don’t know what you’re doing, but if this is a type of project you’ve been eying for a while, then hopefully this tutorial will be of great use!
