When you want something to be over, you can’t help but look at the clock every three seconds. Nothing has changed in the past few seconds, but you’re now more aware of the incessant ticking that is surely going to drive you to crazy-town. You don’t want to chuck the clock out the window, but if you had to focus less on numbers but still had a visual cue, I’d imagine that would make things much easier.
The Time Timer wanted to answer the “how much longer” that plays in all of our minds on a regular basis. It’s essentially a timer inside of a timer. It goes up to an hour, which makes it perfect for meetings, workout sessions, keeping kids on a schedule, and more. There are three different models ranging from 3 to 12”, and best of all, none of them tick. They’ll only give you an audible signal when time is up (it can be turned off as well). These vary in price from around $30-40 a piece.

Y'know, at first this reminded of the timer Bond installs on the warhead in "The Spy Who Loved Me"… http://i315.photobucket.com/albums/ll469/cljohnst…
…but then I realized that the red sector on this one's actually FUNCTIONAL, and not just decorative.
