Home HeartCheck – accurate readings show whether you’re dead in just 30 seconds

Have you ever tried reading a medical website? Within 10 minutes you’re convinced you’ve got everything from chronic aphasia to Addison’s Disease. It’s spooky how all these symptoms so clearly seem to fit my cough and strange walk. And that’s just on the As. By the time I get to the Ps I’m already on the phone to emergency services.

Thankfully there are some tools to help fight back against the terror, one of which could be this Home HeartCheck. The small handheld device runs off two AAA batteries, and acts like a micro sized ECG machine to capture your heart rhythms within seconds. It’s pretty easy to use, just switch on, place your thumbs on the two silver pads, press the Start button and say a short prayer to your deity of choice.

Within 30 seconds you’ll receive a reading which you can view and even print out if you so wish, using the integrated USB port. Rather usefully it will store up to 20 readings, which means you can keep an updated progress log of how your pump is doing at any time of the day or night. And you thought BMI tracking was fun? The device is FDA approved and costs $279.00. Batteries not included!

  • This would be useful when you go down to the local McDonald’s and eat a hundred burgers in one sitting. Now all we need is a portable pocket defibrillator.
