Skately Push-Rod Camera Dolly – fake it til you make it?

Skately
When you are filming, you’re always trying to go for the perfect shot. This involves proper angles, lighting, and of course, getting no bumps or jolts to show up. We looked at a pretty awesome way to stabilize your camera last week, but what about those of us that can’t afford such fancy equipment?

If all you need is for your camera to smoothly glide one direction or the other, then the Skately Push-Rod camera Dolly can assist you. It’s made of aluminum and rubber, and has a rubber-coated mount to keep your gear safe and secure. This $150 equipment has a front turntable axle that can be maneuvered by the push-rod. It only comes in black, and is one size only. While this would help with some aspects of filming, I can’t help but feel as though you can rig this same setup at home for much cheaper.
