Wrist watches may be going out of fashion in a general sense, but for some people the idea of strapping on a real ticking or purring timepiece still holds a large amount of fascination. Of course it’s often just to show off with some garish lump of metal, but sometimes you’re lucky enough to see true cool.
This awesome Wooden Steampunk Wristwatch from Polish studio Redmer Werkstatt is a case in point. Designed around a thoroughly modern iPod Nano, the watch features a solid wood and brass case, hand made leather strap and lots of lovely buttons you can press to get the chronograph to work as you wish.
The case also affords egress to the iPod’s standard 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can plug in headphones and rock out to your favorite steampunked golden oldies, as you amaze your fellow travelers with your derring do. You need lots of that derring by the way, if you’re going to afford the $239.00 / £156.08 that a true work of art costs, but it’s still a small price to pay for an utterly unique and yet oh so practical timepiece.
