LeapPad Ultra – ready, set, learn!

LeapPad Ultra
Children have a nasty habit of wanting to play with their parents’ smartphone or tablet. It’s shiny and looks like fun, so following kid logic, it should be in their hands. The only problem with handing it over is that it’s not a cheap thing to replace. Thankfully kids and technology have become so intertwined that there are all sorts of kid-proof versions of these devices, so no one has to worry about cracked screens or slobber in the speakers.

The LeapPad Ultra will let kids take photos, browse the web, and play on apps. Just like mom and dad! It has a camera, can connect to WiFi, and do just about everything a normal tablet can do, but simplified. It makes sure that they can’t access anything unsavory, and their progress through educational apps can be seen online. The appropriate age range for this $150 piece of equipment is 4-9 years old. While there are over 800 apps available instantly on this tablet, there will be more that can be purchased, so that price tag may increase. If you’re considering this, you can mull over spending that amount of money on a toy that may not be ‘fun’ to use after a year until the 17th of this month when it goes up for pre-order.
