First person shooters are wildly popular and have been for several decades. However, they have lost quite a bit of their appeal either from being too repetitive, or giving you way too many tips when you already know what to do. The thrill of a new title is still there, but doing the same thing game after game can be a little boring.
The Delta Six controller is going to change the way you play FPS games. You’ll be holding what looks and feels like a semi-automatic rifle. Need to reload? Tap the magazine and it will do so automatically. Punching forward with the stock will trigger melee attacks, you’ll have recoil from the internal actuator, and an IR sensor can tell when you look down the barrel and will bring up the scope.
This will work for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC which means you can use your entire library of shooting games rather than one platform only. They also touted that they are open source and ‘next generation ready’ for all of you devs out there. If you have children, it’s probably best to keep them away from this until they can understand the difference between a fake gun and a real one.
