The Handy Salt Meter will only work for those who like soup

Salt Meter

It is very possible to have too much of a good thing. Salt is something that can make or break food, but there are some people who need to watch their intake of it. The best way to do that? Have the right tools handy.

The Salt Meter will help you determine how much salt is in your meal, but there are a few conditions. This can only measure the sodium levels for liquids, and they have to be within a 60-80 degree Celsius temperature range. That’s right, it won’t do squat for solids.

The concentration will be shown in a percentage, and it’s only a little bigger than one of those ‘under-the-tongue’ thermometers. While watching how much salt you eat isn’t a bad idea, spending $20 just to measure the content in your ramen or soup doesn’t really seem worth it. There are labels that will tell you how much is present, and if you make the liquid yourself, then you know exactly how much salt went into it.
