Jabber with Jabra.

The Jabra BT800, announced back in March, is almost with us. It’s being billed as the first Bluetooth headset with inbuilt call vibrate, an LED display for Caller-ID and – gasp – a jog wheel rather than clumsy buttons. And here’s what I guess is the first shot of the prototype LED screen in all its…ahem…glory.

As you can see it’s not that big, and how does this work anyway? Do you take off the headset to look at the screen when a call comes in and risk losing the call while you’re fumbling around, or suspend the unit around your neck on a….gak…designer rope? Answers on a SIM card please. Anyway we digress… Around 100.00 when it comes out next month.

‘JABRA BT800 also features DSP (Digital Signal Processing) that improves audio clarity in noisy and windy environments. It automatically adjusts volume level in response to background noise and mutes the headset with a finger tip…weighs only 25 grams…complies with Bluetooth version 1.2 and offers 6 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.’
