Bring The Popcorn – brilliant way to find and watch movies and more from YouTube

Everyone knows there’s a bunch of cool stuff on YouTube nowadays, including movies, documentaries and the rest. The only problem is it’s kind of hard to find. Yes you can do a search, but then you’re typically wading through lots of junk to get to the gold, and even category searches don’t really improve things much. But now there’s another very cool option.

Bring The Popcorn is an awesome new service which provides one ultra simple function… to let you find cool stuff on YouTube in an instant. The trick is the service doesn’t just provide a list, it integrates all the useful stuff you need to know to make a decision on what to watch.

So, as well as the thumbnail, date and resolution of the movie, the site also delivers a rating taken from user votes, direct links to the trailer and IMDB listing/review page, and it even offers up its own player page, so you can enjoy the movie instantly without having to navigate away to YouTube. That’s great for auditioning movies on the way to watching your final choice.

The whole thing is fast, slick and brilliant, and really easy to navigate. The big surprise is just how much cool stuff is actually lurking on YouTube’s massive server farms, there’s a lot of really good stuff there. Within minutes I found a neat little SciFi movie which was great fun. Check it out, it’s definitely worth a bookmark.

  • Hello! We, the team at BtP, want to thank you for an excellent article.

We would also like to mention that a lot of things have happened the last couple of months to the site. Now we have somewhere around 5000 full movie titles listed from around YouTube and it’s constantly increasing.

We made a blog post about a week ago documenting all the changes we have made to the site since this article was written. http://www.bringthepopcorn.net/blog/9/we-have-come-a-long-way

On top of all these changes we are constantly adding more functions and improving the site. For anyone interested in finding full movies on YouTube we do recommend that you go and check out the site, get yourself an account (which is free) and try out the “watched list” combined with our “recommended” function which will help you find new and interesting titles in our ever growing library.

    Hope you enjoy it!
